• When you enter the training room, you stop and bow in the proper manner. The same applies when leaving the gym. 

  • The head instructor is addressed in the training room as “SENSEI”, all assistants and instructors are addressed as “SEMPAI”.

  • The word “HAI” is used instead of yes when you indicate that you have understood what the instructor has said.

  • If you are late for the training, you walk up to the instructor and bow, then walk to the back of the line and join the training.

  • Fingernails and toenails must be clean and trimmed short to avoid injury, and the student must appear clean and well-groomed. 

  • Necklaces, watches, bracelets, plate rings, earrings, etc. must not be worn during training to avoid injury.

  • In the training room, a discreet appearance is required and the instructor's instructions must be followed without delay. A good training effort and a respectful attitude towards karate and its practitioners, as well as towards your instructor, are emphasized. 

  • Chewing gum, singing, whistling and unnecessary talking are not allowed during training and if you have any questions, please raise your hand. 

  • When a team is sitting and meditating, everyone else in the room must remain silent.

  • It is extremely important that all karate practitioners adhere to the international karate etiquette and internal rules to create the right karate atmosphere and effective training.
